If I had to guess, about now, you’re probably making plans for what you want your business to look like next year. And as you do that, you may also be thinking about investing in a coach to help you reach your goals.
If you are, I bet you’re doing your research and weighing your options. You’re asking for referrals. You’re considering the coaches you currently know of and checking out their web sites to see what they offer these days.
In this stage of seeking support, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. After all, you have a lot of options to choose from and it’s not always clear which coach is the best fit for you. Alternatively, you may feel like too many coaches are a good fit, which leaves you with the challenge of trying to pick the perfect one.
That’s why I want to help you simplify the process and find the right coach for you (which may, or may not, be me). To start with, you need to back up a step and get clear on what you want before you continue exploring options.
The best way to do that is to answer these four questions:
1. What are the specific challenges I want a coach to help me overcome in 2019?
2. What result do I want to get out of working with a coach next year?
3. How do I want to receive support (1:1 coaching, a group experience, a coaching intensive, etc.)?
4. Am I ready to make an investment in myself and my business?
Answering these questions will bring you clarity and help you get a better picture of the kind of coaching experience you’re looking for - which will also give you a better idea of who would be a good fit to work with. (First and foremost, know that the right coach for you will have experience solving the kinds of challenges you’re facing and getting the results you want in your business.)
And if you answer these questions and realize you’re interested in working together in 2019, here are a few final signs that we’d be a good fit:
You've decided that 2019 will be the year you streamline your business so you can grow to the next level.
You've realized that you work best (and get the best results) when you hire a coach for high-touch, 1:1 coaching partnerships or intensives.
You're looking for someone to help you simplify the hot mess behind the scenes so you can experience what it’s like to run a profitable, sustainable business without the overwhelm.
You want to work with a coach who walks her talk and runs a simplified business that prioritizes growth and freedom.
