Elevator pitches are funny things. They’re useful to have as a business owner, yet they aren’t so essential that entrepreneurs prioritize them above everything else they have to do to keep their business running and growing.
That’s why elevator pitches often get overlooked, despite the fact that they’re a key piece of your business foundation.
It’s also why I’m inviting you to get back to basics today and get an elevator pitch in place in your business. Not only is it important, it will help you simplify because this versatile piece of copy can benefit your business in a lot of ways.
Once you nail your elevator pitch, you can use it to…
- Talk about what you do with ease at networking events, conferences and casual get togethers.
- Succinctly and clearly describe the work you do in your copy, whether you use your elevator pitch on the home page of your web site or in a bio on your favorite social media platform.
- Communicate who you are and what you do when sending pitches to blogs, magazines, podcasts and more.
Hopefully this has got you thinking that it’s time to finally get a solid elevator pitch in place. Or maybe you’re recognizing that even though you have an elevator pitch, it needs some serious revisions since you haven’t updated it since, oh, 2014.
Either way, I’m here to help.
All you have to do is download my free guide, Craft a Value-Centered Elevator Pitch. Inside, you’ll learn why my approach to creating an elevator pitch is different (i.e. it’s simpler and more effective). You’ll also get my fill-in-the-blank formula to help you craft an engaging elevator pitch with ease.
So go ahead and download the guide. Then give yourself 30 minutes this week to get this important foundational piece of your business ready to go.
P.S. I know there are a lot of great designers in this community – and, if that’s you, I want you to know that the Simplified Designer Summit is coming up later this month. I’ll be joining a group of amazing entrepreneurs to speak on ways you can simplify your design business and make it more efficient, profitable and stress free. I’ll share more details shortly but if you already know you want to reserve a seat, you can get your free ticket here.
